World Day for Safety and Health at Work – 28 April
To mark the World Day for Safety and Health at Work on 28 April, NPSG Global is coming together to turn one day of awareness into a full week of safety-focused conversations across all project sites.
Teams across the Australia, USA, Canada and Europe will be kicking off each workday, and picking things up again after lunch, with toolbox talks aimed at keeping safety front and centre. These daily check-ins are a chance to pause, reflect, and refocus on what matters most: making sure everyone goes home safe.
“This initiative matters because it unites all sites with a common dedication to safety,” says Tracey Wester, Managing Director of NPSG Australia. “It reinforces the idea that safety depends on teamwork, open communication, and staying focused on the fundamentals that keep everyone safe.”
Each day will highlight a different topic, giving teams a moment to review key practices, share insights, and challenge complacency.
Topics include:
Complacency: Why Do We Let It Happen to Ourselves?
High Potential Near Misses and How to Report Them
Cardinal Safety Rules – Know Them, Live Them
Distracted Driving – Inside and Outside of the Building
Avoiding Slips, Trips and Falls from Walking Surfaces
Be a Safety Leader
Ladder Safety
Lifting, Pushing, Pulling – How to Do It Safely
This campaign reflects commitment to Health and Safety, which puts the wellbeing of employees, contractors, and visitors first. A strong safety culture is built on clear processes, solid training, and ongoing improvements.
Campaigns like this help strengthen a culture where safety isn’t just a box to tick, it’s something we live, every day, at every site.
